Optimaler Betrieb
The operating pressure range of the Torrent is 1,5 – 3 bar at the cleaning machine.
With a flow rate of 340 – 493 litres/minute, a wetting diameter of 8 – 11,6 metres is achieved.
The Torrent is a cleaning device with a revolutionary mode of operation and is structurally identical to the units of the Typhoon series. Instead of solid-jet nozzles, the Torrent has slots and bores in the nozzle disc and the nozzle head. As a result, the liquid does not exit in concentrated jets but in flat jets. Its cleaning behaviour therefore differs from that of conventional jet or orbital cleaners.
The even distribution of the liquid can be advantageous for special cleaning requirements and for warming up the tank interior or the tank walls; likewise, cooling can be achieved with cool liquid. Cleaning is possible for vessels up to 11.6 metres in diameter. The Torrent is driven by the cleaning medium at a pressure of only 1.5 to 3 bar. The rotation of the nozzle head is generated by a drive turbine. The unit is available with a 270° or 360° spray pattern. Operating the Torrent conserves resources and involves minimal wear and maintenance.
The Torrent meets the highest hygiene and safety standards and can be used both in Ex zones and in FDA applications. Over a long service life, this unit will prove to be a reliable partner for your cleaning tasks. Optionally, the cleaning process of a Torrent can be monitored permanently and non-invasively by SMW 100 or Vericlean. The Torrent is one of the newest and most effective developments on the cleaning technology market.
Torrent orbital cleaners are available in 2 connection variants. The Torrent is very compact and can be installed in any position in vessels or plants by means of a 2″ threaded connection or a 2″ cotter pin connection. It can also be used on a lance or suspended from a hose. Typical applications for this product are tanks and vessels in the brewing, beverage, dairy, food and pharmaceutical industries.
Gewindebefestigung
Torrent standard units are equipped with a 2″ cylindrical female thread BSP (British Standard Pipe according to DIN ISO 228). Optionally, the unit is available with a 2″ tapered female thread NPT (National Pipe Taper, American pipe thread for self-sealing connections).
Splintbefestigung
The Torrent is optionally available with a 2″ cotter pin connection. The cotter pin connection ensures dead-space-free mounting of the cleaning machine. Cotter pin versions have an approx. 15% higher flow rate.
Klammerbefestigung
The Torrent is optionally available with a 2″ clamp connection. A clamp connection ensures easy removal of the cleaning machine.
